Wholesome Alchemy Retreat Policies
1. Illness Policy
Responsibility for Health and Well-being
Participants are solely responsible for their health and well-being before, during, and after the retreat. If a participant becomes ill, arrives ill, or is unable to attend the retreat due to illness, Wholesome Alchemy is not liable for their condition. We strongly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance to protect themselves against any unforeseen medical issues that may arise before or during the retreat.
Illness During the Retreat
If a participant arrives at the retreat ill or becomes ill during the retreat and is unable to participate in scheduled activities, the participant remains responsible for their health. Wholesome Alchemy will not be held responsible for the participant's inability to participate due to illness.
COVID-19 Protocol
In the event that a participant arrives at the retreat with COVID-19, the following options are available:
-
Quarantine: The participant may choose to quarantine on the retreat property until they receive a negative test result.
-
Departure: The participant may choose to leave the retreat immediately.
In both cases, the participant is responsible for all additional costs incurred, including but not limited to COVID-19 testing, extra meals, alternate transportation, and any other expenses related to their illness. If the participant chooses to leave the retreat, they are still responsible for the full cost of the retreat and forfeit any right to a refund, as the event will have already commenced.
Forfeiture of Refunds
If a participant decides to leave the retreat at any point, for any reason, they forfeit their right to any refund. This policy applies regardless of the circumstances leading to their departure.
2. Being Asked to Leave
Harm to Group or Individuals
If a participant is causing harm to the group, the container, themselves, or other individuals, they may be asked to leave the retreat. Wholesome Alchemy reserves the right to have any such participant removed from the premises at their own expense. Wholesome Alchemy is not responsible or liable for any consequences or costs associated with a participant’s removal due to harmful behavior.
Non-Participation and Negative Impact
Active participation is a core value of our retreats. If a participant is not participating in activities and this non-participation is negatively impacting the retreat experience for others, they may be asked to leave. Again, the participant will bear all associated costs, and Wholesome Alchemy or the retreat center will not be held responsible for any expenses incurred.
3. Container Agreements
All participants are expected to honor the following agreements to maintain the integrity and safety of our retreat environment:
-
Privacy: Respect the confidentiality of the group. Personal experiences shared within the retreat should remain private.
-
Active Participation: Engage fully in all scheduled activities. Our retreats are designed for those who are ready to participate actively in their personal growth journey.
-
Vulnerability: Embrace openness and honesty in your interactions, allowing yourself to be vulnerable in a safe and supportive environment.
-
Non-Judgment: Maintain a non-judgmental attitude towards yourself and others.
-
Non-Criticism: Avoid criticizing others; focus on your own experience and growth.
4. Retreat Centers
By enrolling in a retreat, participants are legally agreeing to the conditions of the retreat center associated with that particular event. These conditions may vary depending on the location of the retreat. Wholesome Alchemy is not responsible if the retreat center does not meet a participant's personal needs or expectations.
Each retreat center is carefully chosen to enhance and intensify the participant's journey. The environment may challenge your comfort or amplify it, depending on the retreat. Examples of these challenges include but are not limited to:
-
Physical Activity: Hiking and being active in your body may be required.
-
Access: Use of stairs or ladders, which may be challenging for some.
-
Facilities: Outhouses, cold water showers, compostable toilets, or going to the bathroom in nature.
-
Living Conditions: Small rooms, shared spaces, or a lack of Wi-Fi or internet access.
These elements are intentionally designed to heighten the experience and support deep personal and spiritual growth. We encourage participants to embrace the full experience and be open to the transformative journey that these environments offer.
5. Cancellation Policy
-
Prior to 75 days: Full refund
-
75-60 days: Balance refunded, Deposit held
-
60 days or less: No refund
We encourage participants to secure travel insurance to protect their investment in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
